Admissions

Anticipated to open in Fall 2026, Next Generation Technology High School (Next Gen Tech) is a four-year NYC public high school serving grades 9–12, designed to prepare students not just to use technology, but to understand, build, and govern it responsibly. Our curriculum emphasizes advanced mathematics, computer science, machine learning foundations, AI ethics, and real-world, project-based application, so students graduate with both technical fluency and a clear moral framework for how technology should serve people for the public good.

Next Gen Tech includes rigorous coursework and CTE-aligned pathways, opportunities to earn industry-facing credentials (such as Python, Google Cloud, and other digital literacy and technical certifications), and a capstone experience tied to authentic community needs. Students will also have access to clubs, enrichment, leadership opportunities, and extracurricular programming that supports both academic growth and creative production across disciplines like music and language as “code-based” tracks.

Students are academically screened, ranked, and matched through the NYC Department of Education Office of Enrollment. Details on the admissions and academic screening criteria for Next Generation Technology High School can be found in the links below.
