Anticipated to open in Fall 2026, pending PEP approval, Next Generation Technology High School is a proposed NYC public high school for grades 9–12 built for families who want more than a traditional education. At Next Gen Tech, students will not simply learn to use technology, they will learn to understand it deeply, build with it skillfully, and make responsible decisions about how it shapes the world. Our program is rooted in the belief that advanced mathematics, computer science, ethical reasoning, and real-world problem solving are now essential for success in college, careers, and civic life.

For parents, this means a school that is both forward-looking and grounded. Students will be challenged by a rigorous academic program developed in alignment with the school’s design priorities, including advanced math, computer science, project-based learning, ethical technology literacy, and clear pathways to college and industry credentials. They will build portfolios, complete authentic capstone projects, and graduate with tangible evidence of what they can do, not just a transcript.

This school is designed for the reality of the world your child is growing into. As technology rapidly changes the future of work, traditional computer science pathways alone are no longer enough. Students need stronger foundations, broader fluency, and the ability to think critically across emerging fields. Next Gen Tech prepares students for that shift by combining deep technical learning with communication, collaboration, ethics, and adaptability so they are ready not only for today’s opportunities, but for the ones still taking shape.

Students will also have access to a rich and motivating school experience beyond the core program. In addition to rigorous coursework designed in partnership with Carnegie Mellon and CTE-aligned pathways, students may pursue industry-facing credentials in areas such as Python, Google Cloud, digital literacy, and related technical fields. They will also have opportunities for enrichment, clubs, leadership, and creative pathways, including Digital Audio Production through our partnership with SoundCollective NYC and advanced language study in Mandarin, Spanish, and/or Japanese.
